Do we need to use ISO standard screw thread gauge by a reason that our company has obtained ISO9001 certificate?

The answer is NO need. ISO9001 is a standard for Quality Management System and has no relationship with gauges standard.

Specification of screw thread gauge follows the specification of the products to be inspected. Some of products has changed into ISO standard, so the thread gauge also should follow.

Is there any appropriate storage method of gauges?

You should pay attention to the following when storing the screw thread gauge,

・Do not store the gauge assembled into the product or other gauge.
 Remove it before storing.
・Remove any dust, chips, or fingerprint sticking on the gauge
・Store at room with stable temperature with low humidity
・Clean the gauges using anti-corrosion oil to prevent from rusty.

Most of our gauges are covered using anti-corrosive packing material (Seal Peel) and zerust plastic when shipping. Seal Peel can be used for guarding the gauges and corrosive prevention. Furthermore, zerust plastic is an anti-rasting vinyl which also can prevent from corrosion.

What is the difference between fit tolerance and gauge tolerance of a limit plug gauge?

Fit tolerance is allowable size of the product in manufacturing used. For example, the tolerance for φ20H7 hole product is [+0.021_0], which means the allowable maximum and minimum size of the hole is φ20.021 and φ20, respectively.

A pair of GO and NO GO limit plug gauge is used for inspecting minimum and maximum size hole, respectively. Each plug gauge has its manufacturing tolerances. For example, manufacturing tolerance for GO plug gauge is φ20.0 +0.001/+0.005, and NO GO plug gauge is φ20.021 ±0.002.

Where can we can buy OJIYAS products?

How long is lifetime of gauges? and How to prevent gauge from wear?

We can not predict the lifetime of the gauges. The actual number of parts tested (frequency of use), the cleanliness of the gauges when testing it and the tightness of the guages to part, all have an impact on the certifiable life of gauges.

The gauges are subject to wear during use. However, wear could be prevented by taking care the gauge from dust, chips, burr that sticking on the product. Clean the product from such the things before inspection using gauge.
